Asymmetrical Little Fears

I remember when I was a kid, the impression those marine monsters in the old maps caused me. I can recall one framed map of the Americas, at one of the offices in the main dock of my town that I was always curious about. With serpentine terrifying creatures, rare seahorses and giant lobsters, those seas looked very intriguing to me. Since the old times sea monsters have been related with fears. These  small watercolors are part of a more ambitious project that deals with the idea of how our own fears can be a way of learning about ourselves more than something that we should fight against.
